As most of you know, I published my third book last year, Medevac Memoirs. It's a comedic tale about my last deployment overseas.
Why make it funny? Because I think people are so ingrained that deployments are this gruesome time that should be never talked about. And yes, a lot of Service Members stories are. But sometimes, they are not and for me, a person can learn so much about the world and themselves being gone for a year.
So, if you would like to experience the softer side of deployment from start to finish, grab a copy, a cat and some wine and be prepared for some laughs, some serious, and some enlightenment.
